Newsletter and Announcements:
APRIL 14TH AND 17TH-NO SCHOOL
*Thank you parents for working with your child each night on their homework.
*Parent Communication Notebooks with Planners will be coming home each night.. The planner should be signed EVERY NIGHT. This is an important tool between school and home.
*Please put all money in the zipper pouch in binder. Please label what the money is used for.
*Make sure you check your child's backpack every night for homework or assignments sent home. You must practice words and read the assigned stories to prevent your child from getting behind this year. Show your child listening to them read is important to you.
*Please practice tying shoes at home. Many children still do not know how to tie their shoes.
*Please let your child walk to class in the mornings by themselves. This promotes responsibility and makes them feel like a "big kid." If you need to speak to a teacher, please send a note requesting a conference.
*Snack Day-Wednesday-bring 75 cents for the snack machine or bring a snack from home.
*Two wonderful websites to practice reading skills are: www.starfall.com and www.soundcityreading.com. A great spelling website is www.spellingcity.com.
